Depending on model of BMW the lowering kit comes either with two rear suspension linkage brackets or with steel suspension links that replaces the standard suspension parts on the bike reducing
the seat height (as specified) measured at vertically from the rear axle to the upper surface of the seat unit.

BMW motorcycle lowering kits
Lust Racing suspension linkage brackets in steel are stronger than the standard brackets they replace. Made in roll forged steel Lust Racing brackets are dimensioned to last the entire life-time of your bike. Lust Racing std height brackets are supplied with installation instructions.

BMW motorcycle suspension kits
The duolever front forks / dual wishbone suspension on BMW K-series motorcycles does not require lowering. Lowering the
duolever K-Series BMW models has no impact on the handling of the motorcycle thanks to the "non dive" front suspension
and "no squat" rear suspension which keeps the wheel base constant under any suspension movement, cornering, accelerating or deaccelerating.
In practice this means no change in trail and no change in steering head angle.
The dual wishbone front suspension solution found on the K-series was originally designed by former F1 McLaren racing engineer and TT motorcycle racer Norman Hossack. A remarkable inventor.
