Lowering kit for Triumph Daytona 955 year models 2002 to 2005.Using a new spring retainer for the rear shock absorber this lowering kit lowers the seat height 40mm (1.6"in) by lowering of the rear suspension. This kit will ONLY fit bikes with single sided swing arm.

By replacing the OEM rear shock spring retainer with a new one, the installed spring length in relation to the the shock absorber length is increased. Thus the shock compresses further under the equal load compared to the standard bike. As a result the bike's seat height reduced by approximately 40mm or 1.6" inches.

As such it is not difficult to install this lowering kit for the one who has experience working on their bike but it requires a spring compressor and caution while working. Installation of this kit will require that the rear shock absorber is removed from the bike so that the standard spring retainer can be removed from the shock absorber. The bike should be supported under engine/frame during removal of the shock.
If you don't have a spring compressor, leave the installation of this kit to a pro. Triumph brand dealerships or a well equipped motorcycle garages.
If you are a beginning home mechanic or have little experience we recommend leaving the installation to an experienced mechanic used to work with motorcycle suspension / shock-absorbers. We supply the lowering kit with a detailed installation instruction. The new lowering spring retainer in this lowering kit is machined from high grade aerospace aluminum. Color black with Lust Racing logo in red and sliver-chrome. When installed the seat height is reduced by approximately 40mm (1.57" inches) from standard height (depending on shock settings and spring condition). This lowering kit will fit Triumph Daytona 955 models manufactured 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005. Sprint retainer material: CNC machined high grade aerospace aluminum. To keep the handling of the bike neutral the front forks are lowered by moving the front forks upwards in the triple clamps, this is an adjustment only - no additional parts required.
Fitting this lowering kit will increase high speed stability, lower the center of gravity and improve rear wheel traction (grip) and indeed reduce the seat height.

Ride height adjuster kits replaces the stock (standard) links in multi-link and uni-track rear suspensions found on most Japanese sports and super bikes. Lust Racing ride height adjusters are made and developed for racing use. Replacing the links/tie-rods or "dog bones" provides the possibility to tune in the suspension and adjust the ride height without altering the shock absorber and spring settings. Indeed shock and spring settings can still be adjusted. Altering the ride height allows you to tune in your bike to fit racing track, track conditions and rider preferences. Adjusting the ride-height changes a motorcycles handling characteristics as the rake and the trail of the front fork changes due to the new angle or "stance" of the bike with a raised or lowered rear suspension. Rising kits will provide quicker steering response, and easier turn in. We do not recommend rising the rear suspension by more than 40...45 mm. Lowering kits increases high speed stability.
