Why fit a lowering kit on your Honda CBR?
Lowering kits increases high speed stability and more grip at the rear wheel, providing more acceleration. For racing use adjusting the ride height can solve chatter problems.
For street applications in particular shorter riders find can avoid tip toeing in traffic lights, some also appreciate the meaner look of a lowered bike.

Do you need to do other changes to your bike when you fit a lowering kit?
The bike will stand more upright on the sidestand, this is not an real issue for moderate lowering, with more radical lowering 40mm or more you might like to shorten the sidestand.

Do I need to change the front suspension?
Again, this is up to you with moderate rear suspension lowering, with more radical rear suspension lowering, you should lower the front end about the same amount as the rear. You can lower the front end by simply sliding the front fork legs upwards in the triple clamps "yokes". Adjust one side at the time, this way you can easily measure the exact change, to ensure you slide the fork legs upwards the same amount.
For street applications you should ensure that this modification is legal in your country, ride height changes can in some countries require that the bike is inspected after the lowering at a MOT center.
